Haizhou Zhao

I am a PhD student at NYU Machines In Motion Laboratory, co-advised by Prof. Ludovic Righetti and Prof. Majid Khadiv. Previously, I was a research intern at TUM ATARI Lab, working with Prof. Majid Khadiv. In 2023, I obtained my BEng in Mechatronics and Robotic Systems from the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), supervised by Prof. Yuqing Chen.

My research interests include 1) contact-rich task and motion planning for legged robots via optimization and learning, and 2) bionic mechanical design of humanoid robots.
